Hello again! If you are new to our blog, welcome! However, if you followed us last year, welcome back! FINALLY, after two years of waiting, waiting, and waiting, we are on campus for a Holy Cross fall! Over the past year, we have experienced different versions of college from Zoom, campus in COVID, and even the change of a Holy Cross President (by the way, Welcome President Vincent!). We are so excited to be writing about our time here once again.
This year has been what we have been looking forward to for so long. Walking around campus on the first day of classes felt so surreal. Since we can be outside and maskless, we are seeing people’s full faces for the first time and being more personable by recognizing and smiling more at each other rather than hiding behind a mask.
With fall well on its way, we have also entered football season! Our first official Holy Cross football game was everything we imagined it to be. Blessed with gorgeous weather and families visiting with dozens of fold-up tables worth of food, we cheered on Holy Cross. This year has been so much fun, and we have finally been able to enjoy it the way it should be: no Zoom, more people, and all of the fun traditions and festivities!
